If you’ve ever been around when a patient has been diagnosed with a terminal illness you probably noticed that family and friends stop visiting at a time when they are most needed. This is the main reason volunteers are so important and always needed.
Patient care volunteers support patients and families in a wide range of opportunities which include but are not limited to:
- Support for patients
- Respite and support for family members
- Childcare and Pet assistance
- Bereavement support programs
- Administrative/Special Projects
Note: Training can be in our location or yours.
Our Hospice Training Program
Our training will certify you to bring your special gift of friendship
and caring to your Hospice patients and family. Classes are free and usually scheduled for one Saturday per month with home work and Tb testing (provided free) as required by Medicare.
